Late Season Blooms

In spite of the long hot summer, recent rains have produced a bumper crop of Maximillian sunflower on the ranch. While most sunflowers are annuals, Maximillian sunflowers are perennials and come back for many years from their roots. Seeds that were sown decades ago have now formed multiple colonies across the ranch providing late season blooms for pollinators.
